T. David Collection opened in March 2005 in one of the few three story buildings in German Village. The mid 1800's storefront has been home to a drugstore, a grocery, and most recently a health food and vitamin store. The refurbished space, with an outstanding tin ceiling creates a visually pleasing setting for the eclectic merchandise. The shop features a mix of fine European and American antique furniture, traditional 20th century pieces, and accessories from yesterday and today. In 2008 a few contemporary pieces were added to make the selection even more varied and appealing. Desks, chests, tables, buffets, armoires, and chairs-the main pieces-are beautifully displayed with mirrors, lamps, artwork, and a few small accessories. A special focus is on accessories for entertaining. These include barware items and serving pieces. Unique ice buckets, glassware, copper, and even cocktail napkins give a special touch to a party or make great gifts. Garden items including pots, planters, and outdoor entertaining pieces are added in the spring and summer seasons. Finally there is a selection of exceptional hand made jewelry. Both antique and new stones and beads are artfully combined into one of a kind necklaces, bracelets, and earrings by local designer Sita Bosheri. |
